Unresolved bad listing of acc

My Acc was handed over to the lawyers sometime back, late last year i got a 50% settlement offer on my acc through their lawyers, and i since paid the 50% of R842.00 and a guy by the name of Huston called me to confirm the payment amount of R842.00 and he promised to send a letter of settlement within 21days from the day of payment which is 10th dec 2012.
and i went to the Edgars branch again on the 8th Jan 2013 and a lady called the lawyers and a Nathaniel guy said the the removal and settlement letter i will get in 21days AGAIN but nothing was forthcoming.
last week 24th Feb 2013 I revisited the branch to find out the status of my account, Steve from these lawyers promised a 7day period but up to yesterday the problem has NOT been resolved to my understanding.

Are these guys so incompetent that they cant issue a letter of settlement or are they looking at charging me again the same amount i paid?

PLEASE HELP.
