Overcharging and illegal charging of VAT

I bought a 25 liter drum of paraffin from this store and was not only charged R16.00 per litre. but on top they also charged R49.12 for VAT???

When I told the lady at the pay point, the price is obviously wrong. She merely responded that its correct.

I went from that store and bought another 20 liter drum from another store. Who only charged R11.00 per litter and no VAT???

Paraffin is a price controlled item and is also a VAT free item?

After submitting a complaint to their head office. A person phoned me yesterday from the relevant store and tried to tell me load of nonsense.

I can just wonder how much money this company is daily, from their customers?
