Kalahari.com
Big Mama sale a farce

Shops, Products, Services

Kalahari.have chosen not to honour the delivery of items they had marked down to R9.95.

I have consulted a lawyer and they have agreed that this is grounds for a class action suit for false advertising and "bait marketing". There is precedent that will hold up in court and given the advertising of "The Mama of all sales", the consumer has every reason to expect the advertised price on your website to be right. And given that the mistake was made by them and the contract was fulfilled (i.e. they took our money) you are obligated to fulfill on the initial terms.

We know full well that they do have insurance against things like this happening. There are many people (easily 100 or more) in my office who have also gone ahead and placed orders who share the sentiment above and feel that the offer of "goodwill" is an insult. They are implying that we should STILL trust them after they have taken our money and CANNOT give us the products that we ordered at the price on the site and in order for us to purchase almost anything on the website, we need put forward MORE than we spent in the first place. Hmmmm... sounds like an underhanded marketing ploy to me.
