A letter dated 19/01/2013 came in the post in mid Jan regarding my new credit card I was to receive. I called to ask if my card would be delivered to Canal Walk branch & was told I would receive an sms to notify me when the card is there. I didnt receive an sms.
I was in Canal Walk on 13/02/2013 & went to the store. They advised that the card had arrived but was sent back on 08/02/2013 as I didn't collect the. Nobody sms'd/called me to say that the card was there. I spoke to H.O. & in a very huffy voice told me "you will just have to pay the fee of R95 for another card to be re-issued & its your duty as the customer to check if your card is there in 7 working days".
I called Canal Walk on 23/02/2013 to check if the new card was there, they confirmed the card was delivered on 18/02/2013, again no sms sent to advise of this & definitely did not take 7 days. I went to Canal Walk to fetch the card & was asked for proof of address that nobody said I needed. The assistant also said I was not the 1st person to not receive an sms I had to go back on 24/02/2013 to collect the card.
This service is unacceptable. Im the 3rd person in my family to have a bad experience with the Woolies card division.
