My insurance claim is draging for 2 months

On the 5th of December 2012 I purchased a laptop (Dell 5050 CELB820) and some other goods from Joshua Door Oudtdshoorn. They recommended that I take the insurance but did not explain to me that it is only the basic insurance. On the 17th of December 2012 there was a break in at my home and the laptop and other goods was. On the 18th December 2012 I went back to the store in Oudtshoorn to put in the claim. They told me to go to the police station to give a statement and gave the statement to the store to begin the claim proses. I've never been updated ever sins about the claim. Every time I have to phone the shop to hear what is taking them so long. every time i call they have a different excuse. My work is getting behind (i use the laptop for work) and my boss is breathing down my neck. I would appreciate it if I could get a final update for my claim because it is taking to long. They were very eager to sell me the goods, but now they are taking their own time with the claim and that is unacceptable to me.
