On the 2nd of February I visited Malas to have two new tyres put on my car (Audi A4).

Upon entering the workshop, the security boom gate closed onto my car's roof, hitting a dent into the C-pillar.

When I confronted the gate attendant and floor manager about the incident they denied it completely and argued that it is impossible that the gate can close while a car is passing through. They even refused to check the recordings from the two CCTV cameras which monitors the gate. Two people in the car behind me both witnessed the incident, but still Malas rudely denied it.

My insurance company who asked me to get Malas's insurance details. The floor manager did not want to give me any information and said that I should phone their Accounting Manager (Pradib) on Monday. I tried to get hold of him twise and even asked that he would call back. It's now three weeks later and I still have not heard anything.

After paying Malas R8204 for two tyres, I feel that I should have at least been treated with respect and be given decent customer service.

It has cost me R1395 to have the dent removed.

I will never recommend Malas to anyone. Customer Satisfaction is their last priority
