Horrible service received from Legit staff

I went into a Legit store to purchase items utilising a gift card received from a friend. Firstly the cashier tells me that the card does not have funds in, and then secondly after consulting the manager informs me that the card does have funds but due to them being offline she cannot assist me. I enquired from her to attempt using the card again to see if it still wont work only to have the cashier scream at me, i left the shop as i was walking out the cashier was still screaming at me, and the manager just stepped out and went to the back office not to be bothered by the events.
I felt horrified and totally embarrassed, all because i questioned the cashier.
I took the same card to a Jet store in Centurion mall and the lady there helped me with no fuss.
Does this happen because Legit has a lot of customers and make a lot of money and therefore cannot be bothered about the customer service offered to their client. It was my first time in a Legit store and thanks to the cashier i shall never set foot in the again.
