Disgusting service, cancelling at the last minute

I ordered a valentines day gift for my boyfriend on Woolworths online. I placed the order on Sunday, well in advance, and they had stock at the time. The leave it until the afternoon before Valentines day to call me and tell me there is no stock. Then they ask if I want to send something else. Obviously I don't have psychic powers to know what other options I have over the phone so I just cancelled the order. I am so disgusted. If I placed the order on Sunday they should have removed the item from the shelves on Monday, not waited for the day before Valentines Day to realise they don't have stock (OBVIOUSLY won't have stock the DAY before). They were completely unapologetic and what's more, my friends say they have had the same experience. It was too late to organise something else, so now I have been unable to send a valentine on valentines day. My boyfriend and I are in different cities so this was important and Woolworths have dropped the ball. I will never order from them again. Why offer a delivery service if it is so completely unreliable?
