On 12 January 2013, I reported transactions in excess of R8 000-00 on my account. I completed the relevant documentation and I was told that it would take two weeks for the matter to be resolved.
I have constantly contacted the Eastgate Branch (where I reported the matter) and I am told the matter is still being investigated. No one can tell me how far this investigation is and how long this is going to take to resolve!!! In the meantime I am inconvenienced as my acocunt has been frozen since 9 January 2013 so I cannot use it. Furthermore, my account reflects a payment due of R1 760-00!!! So am supposed to pay for goods I did not receive??? How will this affect my credit record?
It is evident that the Edcon Group did not perform the necessary checks when releasing these goods to a!!! I still have both my cards in my possession and it amazes me that when I use my own card for a transaction less than R500-00 I am interrrogated... why was this processs not followed with the???
I would appreciate an urgent investigaiton into this matter so that this matter can be resolved timeously.
