Faulty Machine

We've had our Russell Hobbs juicer for about 5 months now and we use it about 4 times a week.
Last night we used it as normal and as i was adding the second half of an apple, the machine made a huge noise and it smashed the inside container to pieces with metal shooting out and hitting me on the arm, there were shards of plastic and metal everywhere. Not sure what went wrong with the machine, if there was some kind of stress/weakens in the mechanism but all we know was that this was not normal and seriously needs to be checked as it was extremely dangerous.
We'll be calling Russell Hobbs to find out what we can do about this, i'll pe posting their response here as well and hope that they take this matter up seriously.
