A Disappointed Custome

I purchased an engagement ring for my fiance @ a markdown price of R1 699.00; it was too big so obviously i had to take it in for resizing. The initial response was that there wouldn't be an extra charge as this was going to be a special order. After much communication with Gail Raubenheimer from head office, i was informed that since the ring needs to be sized 4 sizes too many than ALLOWED size (the ring is size P, my fiance needs J); i have to pay a special order price for a new ring of R3 499. My complaint is based on the fact that i cannot fathom as to why Sterns ONLY has ONE size for a ring whereas there are a variety of finger sizes and why they ONLY re-size to 2 sizes either way (larger or smaller). This is an inconvenience to us and has "turn me off" in purchasing anything else in the future - i am mainly disappoint in the lack of flexibility that i've experienced.
