Inconsistent Pricing & Bad Service

I bought a gold ring on the 7th of October at your store in Waterfall Mall Rustenburg. The ring was resized to a size G and I paid R100 for that. My wife wore it on Saturday morning, and before the day ended one of the diamonds fell out.
I took the ring back to the store and they said they will fix it. The ring was still a little bit tight so I asked them to resize it one size up as well. A week later they tell me it'll cost R470 for resizing the ring. I found this totally unacceptable so I called around to other Sterns branches for quotes, and none of them quoted me anything above R200. I also called the general enquiries line only to find out that the store was not even supposed to resize the ring in the first place. They were not allowed to resize the ring more than two sizes up or down otherwise it affects the quality of the ring, hence the diamond falling out.
I refuse to pay an excessive amount of R470 to resize a ring just one size, the quality of which could be compromised as well. I thought I was buying from a reputable store instead they rip off their customers by charging inconsistent prices. The area manager was supposed to call me last week, still hasn't' called to date.
