Hi

It has happened quite a few times that I get to the till, and an item scans for a different price than the shelf price. After a while it really gets underneath your skin, as the scanned price is ALWAYS more than the shelf price. I agree that mistakes happen, and that the system might not always be in sync with the prices on the shelf. But then I would expect mistakes to favor the consumer roughly 50% of the time (if they are honest mistakes). Although the mistakes are normally in the range of R2 to R5, I reckon that it eventually those "mistakes" ads up to a healthy profit for GAME.

What really got to me today, was the effort I had to put in to get the R4 I was over charged back. I first has to queue to pay the incorrect amount, then I had to queue at customer services, wait for some manager to hand me a R4 voucher, then I had to queue for a third time at the till to get my R4 cash back.

I had to do all of this, and by making the "mistake", GAME stands to loose nothing, 0%. At least Pick 'n Pay "fines" themselves by giving you your money back, AND the item for free. But GAME stands to loose nothing. I am to a certain extend convinced they are doing it on purpose.
