Pick 'n Pay
The low light of my week

Shops, Products, Services

It is a sad but true fact that the worst part of my week is when I realise that I have not alternative but to shop at the Pick 'n Pay in the Longbeach Mall in Noordhoek.
Often, it is an indifferent experience, but occassionally, an annoying and frustrating one. Almost never is it pleasant. The staff for the most part, are disinterested, unengaged and so busy talking to one another that it is nothing for them to expect you to move out of the way while they are walking abreast down the isles on their way to tea. Heaven forbid you should have the audacity to ask for help!
I have, and I know many people who have similarly, spoken with the manager and I belive firmly that a fish rots from the head - if there are challenges with the staff and overall customer experience at Pick 'n Pay Longbeach, not only is the manager's responsibilty to fix it, but the responsibility needs to with the regional management too. There are plans to bring other options into the Southern Suburbs, and Pick 'n Pay's days of treating their customers as rubbish are numbered. I will move as soon as I have another alternative. In the meantime, I try to do as much of my shopping closer to where I work.
