Last week Saturday I stood in line at the Bayside Branch for 10 minutes to pay for an item of R99.90. Eventually I got to a cashier and then the card reader would not read my card. She pushed it in several times, took it out, rammed it in again, and eventually called someone to bring an off-line machine. The machine took the card and pin number and everything, but then nothing happened. Then the supervisor was on the phone to the office trying to find out if the transaction went through and I waited and waited. Eventually I'd had enough and told them to keep their product. Altogether this took up about half an hour of my valuable time. I walked out of there, went to Clicks, where I got the product, no queue, friendly staff, no problem with the card machine and that is where I will shop in future. In the meantime, my account was debited with this amount. On Sunday I called the Manager and was assured that the Bookkeeper would call me first thing Monday. Well, 5 days later and I'm still waiting. No call, no refund. What are you going to do about this Dis-Chem??
