Poor Service From 5th Avenue

Good day, I have purchased a silver chain with a ring like pendant for my daughters 16th Birthday last year in May 2013, they guaranteed me the day I bought it that it wound turn copper cause its sterling silver, my daughter had it on for almost 2 months when the chain and the pendant turned copper, I gave it to the sales lady of 5th Avenue the next morning when my daughter gave it to me, I was promised that ill get it back in a week to two weeks, well i have been waiting for them to send it to me for 7 months now, when you speak to the sales lady then all she said that they will give me a call regarding the chain, ok now you tell me how do I tell my daughter that I'm struggling to get her 16th Birthday's gift back, poor service from the 5th Avenue Staff members!!!
