I bought a camera from this branch in December. While on holiday the lens of the camera stopped working. Upon our return we took the camera to the store and were told that the camera needed to be sent to PTA! We could not understand why they did not have a repair unit in Cape Town. After doing some research we found someone that could repair the camera under warranty.

We lost the receipt and I had to go to the store for a reprint. What a mission! After supplying them with a bank statement which reflected the date and amount of purchase, it still took 4 different people a couple of hours to find the receipt.

This is however not the worst. I had to explain my situation to the supervisor in customer service and she exploded when she heard that we took it upon ourselves to get the camera fixed and said that I had to bring her all the paperwork of the repair. Is the camera not our property?!

When my husband went to collect the receipt the lady told him that I did not listen to her and tried the same story with him. He almost blew a gasket at this woman reprimanding him. What happened to treating clients with respect!?

I am utterly disgraced by this branch!
