Credit limit = salary?

On the 5th of September, I made a posting about a colleague who had been allowed a credit limit which was almost the same as her salary.

I received a reply from Laurette stating that she was unable to divulge information to a third party.
Laurette, I was not asking for personal information, simply information as to how you calculate your credit limits. Seeing as you are not willing to answer my query, I will ask the National Credit Regulator to look into this matter.
