Pick 'n Pay
Pick and Pay vs False Advertising!

Shops, Products, Services

Pick and Pay advertised nationally in both the Sunday newspapers this past weekend with a few page insert on their " Summer Sale " which started on the 20 January 2014.
I went to the hyper by the sea branch in Durban north to purchase a few of the Real Home Relax Chair @ R100 each.
I was told it was sold out.
Surprised that the item sold out on 1st day.
Manager was called in and he said they only had 2 in stock and it did say limited stock.
My point is 2 in stock is not limited stock, as this store surely attracts thousands of customers.
And the Sale pamphlet clearly states "Summer Sale" and not "Clearance Sale".
IS THIS A GIMMICK TO FOOL CUSTOMERS

I was contacted yesterday saying they can only offer me 1 chair as it was clearance stock.
Not acceptable to me... 1 chair!!!

I contacted the South coast store and was told they had only 2 in stock and it is sold out.

Surely if you have 4 chairs in the entire Durban region you would never put it into a Sale catalogue.

I find this type of advertising and totally unethical.

Can you please investigate.
