Still waiting for my daughters Chrismas Gift

We purchased two EON game stations from Homechoice 24/11/2013. We received them sometime in the first week of December. We switched both on and one seemed to be very sluggish. It eventually also switched on, we downloaded something onto it, switched it off and wrapped it as they were intended as christmas gifts. On christmas eve (24/12/2013) they opened their gifts and the above-mentioned one, that was sluggish, would not go past the "EON" screen, it would not boot at all. We contacted Homechoice on the 26/12/2013 to report the problem and posted it back to them on the 28/12/2013 tracking nr. PE788427254ZA. We did not even receive a phone call or response on mail after the email I sent with tracking number, explaining the whole thing. We contacted them again early January and we were told the new one will be sent on 14/01/2014. We contacted them again on 18/01/2014 and then we were told that the parcel is not on system and they don't have stock for a new replacement. In the meantime we have a very unhappy daughter with no christmas gift. For anyone with kids will understand how we must feel. Please can someone look into this.
