Uying. uncooked chicken that was rotten

Yesterday I went to checkers in ballito mall..to do some school shopping.got all I what I needed then thought will get some chicken/other perishables. I noticed the empty shelves but gave them the benefit of doubt.got 2trays of the few that was left.went home.later as I was chopping the chicken.it was rotten/stinking.so I packed it dressed went back. I spoke to a mr pillay.(Manager) he said don't worry I'll sort it out.few minutes later he gave my money back.no offer of would you like something else or can we pay your transport money for coming twice to the shop.its disgusting.he was very polite I must say thou..I filled my name in a book and was told they wil call me.damage control is very important.and he did none of that. I wil never walk into a checkers store again.and neither wil I ever eat chicken again. I should have been given twice my money back and fresh chicken/or meat of my choice.the cashier was so sorry and sincere.she should have been manager.mr pillay barely spoke 2words and said to me he already had many complaints about the chicken. I just took my money and left without saying a word. I knew then wil never go to that store again.people should know not to buy meat there!
