Paid 9000 for a fridge that was r3000 in 12months

In 2012 December my Mom purchased a fridge that was R3000 she was suppose to make a last payment in December but to her surprise she was told she still needs to pay r800. in January so in all she has paid r9000. in 12months I'm not sure if the interest rate of Joshua door is that sky rocketing. It's sad how the retailers from our poor mothers she requested to speak to the manager who as well wasn't interested into helping.
