Buying a car from Chery Boksburg - what a bad idea

Cars & Transport

I bought a pre-registered Chery Tiggo in March 2012. The day I collected my car, Reuben, the Sales person wasn't present and another Sales person from the second hand department assisted me. We completed all paperwork including the documents required to register the vehicle in my name. I was informed that Reuben will contact me when the license is ready for collection. - 4 weeks later I phoned Reuben to follow up on the license disc but was once again informed that he will contact me as soon as it is ready. In December 2012 I went to the garage to collect my license that I've been waiting for. Nicolas Smith frantically searched for my license (without success) and provided me with ABSA's telephone number. I received a document from ABSA stating that my license only has to be renewed 1/04/2013 as I bought it on 29 March 2012.On 9/04/2013 I went to renew my vehicles license but was informed that the garage never registered the vehicle as they undertook to do and as a result my vehicle is unroadworthy. Nicolas said "It took you a year to find out your car is unroadworthy so this is now your problem."This is unacceptable as the amount I paid included ALL COSTS, including vehicle registration.
