Pick 'n Pay
Apologies To Pick 'n Pay Staff For Shopping!

Shops, Products, Services

What is wrong with Pick 'n Pay staff, are clients an intrusion??
I went to buy a couple of items this afternoon at approximately 2.20PM.
When I got to the "10 or less items" till with my 6 items, I extended a hearty "good afternoon" to the lady working there (I thought this being the 2nd January, a cheerful greeting from me would be in order).
Well, the scowl I got from this person could have stripped old paint from a wall.
I was abruptly asked if I had a PnP card, then whether I wanted a plastic bag.
And so this grumpy, scowling, non communicative and totally preoccupied individual completed the transaction and true to form there was no thank you or good bye (I was not acknowledged in any way at all).
No wonder the PnP group is losing clients and not doing well financially.
If only Checkers had a decent shop in the surrounding area, PnP would never see me again.
In closing, I assure you this was not my first demotivating and unfriendly service experience at this particular branch (I wonder if it this is an organisational trend, or maybe influenced by the branch manager??).
Anybody else recently had a bad experience at PnP Plattekloof??
Please comment.
