Bad service

We were in the store on the 26th of December, we were looking to buy a mattress. We had other items also, while testing the mattresses they send the security to tell us the store is now closed and we must go and pay. We were then also over charged on 3 items.
Today, 30 December, we went to buy placemats and the mattress, the had a sign on buy 4 get 2 free for the placemats, we then specifically asked if it was on the ones we wanted and was replied, yes too. We needed 4 more and she gave it to us, again stating the "special". When we went to pay we were told that it wasn't on that specific placemats.
As the cashier and I walked to the lady who told us about the "special" she then said it isn't on the ones we have.

How is it possible to get such wrong information, never mind the bad information we got on the mattress.

We decided we will not buy it there nor the mattress we will go to a different shop.
