Unacceptable staffing in store

I am so disappointed in the Mr P clothing store in the Pavillion. Just spent 1.5hrs in store to buy my sons some clothing. Found a few items for my youngest in the baby section but was unable to find anything in the 7-14 group as shelves were bare... literally. There was no one at the tills in the kids section, so I approached one of the staff on the floor to ask if anyone was cashing up, he told me to go pay upstairs without even bothering to look at me. To my horror, I found a queue of at least 40 people waiting to pay. It is impossible to stand in that kind of queue with a 20mth old. The other cash up station was also unmanned. I found the manager, she was chatting to her friend. She told me that they were short staffed and that there was nothing she could do but apologise, she then resumed her conversation. I beg to differ, she could have ended her conversation and got behind a till to ease the pressure. I left without anything. I came home to buy the goods online but alas, only one of the items I chose instore is listed online and it was out of stock. I want to tell you to " it! " but instead I'll say "unacceptable! " What a complete waste of my time and petrol.
