Selling second hand goods in re-sealed boxes

On the 23/12/2013 I purchased a Leap Frog Leap Reader from the ToysRus in Woodmead and was shocked when my daughter opened her gift this Christmas morning, we noticed that the writing page was at the back of the book and already used, I am truely disappointed and disgusted as we paid full price for this item. I would like to know what they intend to do about this, also how can the management allow such things to happen within their store or if they have knowledge of such happenings. Also note the individual who helped me is not the one responsible but it's the only name I have but he may know who he is. I was helped by cashier 10 - L Mpanza at 11:09:54 at till 6 WProTill (3.300.14).
