Dismal service and lack of variety

I used to like shopping at Boardman's but not anymore! I went in to buy a food processor. As soon as I walked in, I saw the "sale" on the Jamie Oliver appliances. So I went in and looked for one but could not find any. I asked the "assistant" who was not very helpful. She mumbled something about having to get one from another store and was then absent for 10 minutes only to come back and say that there was nothing. I then told her that it was ridiculous that a store in an extremely busy center had no stock and even if there was no stock there should be a sticker on the sign to say "out of stock". The assistant was rude and flat out told me there was nothing she can do. As soon as I walked away, she complained about me to another customer. This store has a variety of kettles, toasters etc. but only 2 brands of food processors that are not trusted brands. Why advertise for something and not have it in stock. Is it part of a campaign to get customers in so that they can buy other products? I am very disappointed overall in Boardman's and have decided to buy online from Yuppiechef as their service is outstanding. I don't mind paying extra for good service.
