I was gifted a bracelet yesterday, that was bought by a friend visiting from overseas on Tuesday 17 Dec 2013 from Sandton branch. I do not have a receipt, but item is in original packing with tag. My friend has now left and I do not like the bracelet so I took it to Melrose Arch branch. Sales attendant told me he doesn't have it in stock and I should take it to Santon. At Sandton met by VERY rude cashier and manager, who say I need a gift receipt in order to exchange the item for something I like. I do not have a gift receipt as my friend was not offered one when buying me the bangle. I was told by attendant and manager to ask my friend for her credit card number otherwise they refuse to take bangle back and it is too much effort to check Tuesdays sales to see by what means my friend paid for the item so they can verify it as bought there. I cannot ask my friend who Is now back in the Uk by what means she paid or what her credit card details are!! How rude!! My father and I were told by the manager that we do not understand the English on the terms of exchange policy (I am a medical doctor and he is a CA- both highly educated) and I have never been met by such arrogance! Disgusted
