From the moment we entered the store to the last, utterly unexpected show of professionalism and human relations, Thabo changed our idea of mediocrity being the rule in SA business. Although I was not interested in a demo of the product I was buying, and I was served by another employee, Thabo opened the demo model and explained that there was a lever, hard to notice, which may cause me to think that the turntable did not work. He exuded friendliness and passion for his job. We paid, and the purchase was left in their care, while we went off for lunch. Two hours later, when we returned, Thabo greeted us at the door, and told me that I was "a difficult man to get hold of". I was perplexed until he asked if I did not miss something. It suddenly dawned on me that I had left my wallet on the counter! While we were having lunch, which, incidentally, my wife insisted on paying, so I didn't miss my wallet, he had already called the bank and asked them to get hold of me and assure me that he had locked my wallet in the safe. This is where I found it, together with my purchase, 2 hours later. Thabo, you are a truly admirable manager and human being! Thank you!
