I have been a longstanding Edgars acc holder - since 1985 - who currently has a VIP card. Due to an oversight on my part, I missed my Dec payment. I became aware of this on Thursday and immediately made an EFT of R600 - more than the instalment due. On Friday I received a call re the account, and advised the call centre agent that I was aware and had made the payment. I also told him that it was an EFT and would probably take a day or two to reflect. Two hours after this call I received an SMS threatening to list me as a slow payer. I then AGAIN received a call on Saturday morning, telling me I am in arrears and my name is now on the bad payers' list. No mention was made of the call on Friday, nor did the agent make a note of what i had told him. I again told the agent the story, and lo and behold two hours later I received ANOTHER threatening SMS. I owe you less than R3 000, and the instalment due was less than R600. I habitually pay more than my instalment - if you care to take a look at my payment history and this is how you thank me? My account will be settled by January in full and i will never support your store again.
