Instalments pushed rediculously high

I paid up my account around July/August this year. My phone got lost and I had to get a new one, so I took it on account with Edgars. For the following two months I was told that the instalment I ought to pay does not reflect. I made payments anyway. This month I went to pay as usual but was shocked when I was told the instalment was about R800. I paid only R400. Few days later I got a call about the money I have in areas, which was now R1200. I have not been receiving statements from Edgars in all these times, although I made arrangements to get them electronically.

Today I decided to follow up the call I received about my areas, only to find that someone put my account on 6 months plan without bothering to communicate this with me. When I ask for this to be rectified, I'm told that I must pay first the amount in arrears. This is just so not on. This is their doing and needs to be sorted as such!!

I have had my fair share of bad customer service with Edgars even though I have been supporting them for more than 10 years now. I feel that I am being treated like one of the old clothes I bought over the years - A RUG!
