Efusal to change iron and guarantee isnt ove

I purchased an iron at shoprite in Lenasia 21 Dec 2012, the iron has being giving me a problem but I moved to lenasia south and didn't have a chance to take iron earlier in. I went in on 12 Dec 2013 to ask them for assistance, I explained that the iron was switching off and on, it was burning the clothes and it wasn't steaming anymore. The guy in charge of that department spoke in his language that I was taking a chance, I understood and asked him why was he saying that. He then said that he was going to speak to the manager, he came back and had a terrible attitude stating to me that the manager said that the iron was in a bad condition, the only problem with the was the cord was abit tangled. That's the products problem. I was treated like an. The manager didn't have the decency to speak to me when I requested to speak to her. I'm very upset and this isn't the first time that I'm having a problem at shoprite. I always overlooked the poor customer service but today was the last straw. The staff are not customer friendly and as for the manager she shouts at her staff in front of clients. Totally unprofessional.
