I applied for a Woolworths Black credit card on line on 14th November and received confirmation of the application via SMS on 15th November. Heard nothing more until 21st November when I was phoned by the WFS call centre. i requested to be phoned back in 1 hour. Nothing until 4th November from which time i have continually been contacted by the call centre, most of the calls being cut off before being spoken to. Finally spoke to someone from the call centre and was requested information. When asked for my personal bank details, I refused stating that I do not give my bank details over the phone, under any circumstances, especially given the amount of bank. I was then advised that I would not be granted a credit card. I have subsequently emailed Woolworths customer services as well as Financial Services and apart from an acknowledgement from the later have heard nothing. I went into Woolworths Cavendish and handed in my bank details that were then faxed through. However was advised that no-one was available on the weekend to collect the fax so this would have to wait until Monday. Have received numerous calls from call centre requesting bank details which I have refused.
