How to upset a serious buye

My daughter is getting married and I was recommended a shop, Caprice in La Lucia, to find myself an outfit. I have never been treated so rudely IN MY LIFE. Not by the salesperson but the owner (I presume). She noticed me looking at a particular range, came out form behind her counter and looked me up and down, pointedly, and said, " Er, those are the small sizes." I replied, "It doesn't matter as I am just looking for style." (Meaning that i am trying to get a feel for what I want and like before I worry about size.) "If you're just looking for style, she says, "I suggest you try magazines or the Internet! " I said, "Well you've just lost a sale, " turned on my heel and walked out. Into the next door shop, called Swanky Modes, where they were delightful, helpful and friendly. I have a lovely dress which I am quite happy with. What did she think? that I couldn't afford the over the top crass stuff in her shop? sheer stupidity on her part.
