Account payment made into wrong account

On the 26/11/2013 my wife went into legit a branch of the edcon group to make an account payment using my identity number. After making payment she noticed the balance being incorrect and went in to query it only to find out that there were 2 accounts under my I.d number. When we asked for this to be corrected we were told that I needed to come in as the other account which was not mine was frozen and handed over. I have made 2 trips to gateway and have still received no help with this matter. They keep saying that they are looking into it but surely it doesn't take so long to fix up their mistake and how do I know that my previous payments made using my I.d number hasn't even gone into my account? I am extremely distraught over this matter as I don't know if I've even being paying my own account so long and the people both in store and at the call center don't seem to care and are really not trying to sort this out speedily! Why must I now be stressed out and inconvienced for their error? Does edcon even care about their customers because with the amount of in this day and age they seem to have the attitudes of take it or leave it!!! We don't give a damm!!
