In mid October I phoned Mr Price head office to enquire about a Maxed range of bicycle racks that I had been told, by the sales person at Pavillion branch, were being introduced. Mr Mike Howe phoned me back and confirmed that the range was due to be introduced towards the end of October and that he would contact me at that time. When I had heard nothing from Mr Howe after the first week of November, I put down the experience to another typical South African lack of service delivery situation - nothing new.
But on Friday 22 November I received a call and e-mail from Mr Howe confirming that the racks were now in store and apologising for the delay in getting the product on the shelf. He confirmed that he had got the manager of Pavillion, Charlene, to keep one of the racks aside for me to assess and if I wanted to proceed with the purchase, he add arranged a discount for me as I was patient enough to wait. Mike phoned me again on Saturday to ensure that I had been sorted out by the branch.
I really never expected such individualised attention and hats off to Mike Howe and Mr Price for this level of service excellence - and congrats on a great product at a very competitive price.
