Account handed over to MBD Credit Solution

In October 2012 a Total Sports account was opened using my name. After receipt of statement I contacted their call center and was informed that I has to fax an affidavit to any Foschini Group store which I have done on the 15 January 2013. I then contacted their call center again to follow up and was informed that they did receive the affidavit and forwarded it to their Department, they will investigate and I should ignore the sms messages but to date I have never been contacted by them in connection to the account. I have now received a Letter of Demand from MBD Credit Solution and when I contacted them they informed me that Total Sports has handed the account to them. I do not understand how can they ignore my affidavit and still hand the account over. No one from Total Sports has ever contacted me about the account. I feel that they deliberately ignored me and still sent me to the cleaners. I had an account with Foschini before but have since settled and closed it in June 2010. I never opened another account and feel that it's unfair that I am now receiving this type of treatment from them. I demand that they close the account.
