Cell phone repairs not attended to

I bought a cell phone earlier this year from HI, it started freezing and early in Nov it would not switch on. On 02.11.2013 I took it back to the store and was told the repairs can take up to 14 days. Having not heard from them, I tried calling them yesterday 21st of Nov. Their phone was engaged for most of the day so I sent an email to the manager at 2pm on 21st of Nov. Later I called them as there was no response to my email. They left hanging on the line for about 10 minutes. Finally someone came back to me saying they are looking for my phone and promised they would call me back. This morning 22nd of Nov I called again as no one had called me back yet. I spoke to Luke, who said the phone was collected by the MTN courier yesterday. I question is why did it have to lay there since 2 Nov till 21 Nov before it was sent away. This is unacceptable. As we December is approaching and most companies close for the holidays, I am wondering if I will receive my phone back before the end of the year??!!! Between MTN and HI stores (which is part of the TFG Group) they need to give my urgent feedback and get the problem sorted asap
