No Refund of Double Payment

Good day,
My wife and daughter visited the Game store in Secunda at the Secunda Mall on the 28th of October 2013.
My wife paid with her debit card for the goods but her card was decline twice. My daughter provided her Cheque Card which went through successfully.
To our surprise the one amount that was declined on my wife's debit card was put through successfully on her account.
We contacted our bank (Standard Bank, Brakpan) which replied that we need to take it up with Game who received the same amount of R374.96 twice for the same goods.
We send an e-mail to Game on the 29th of October and received confirmation and reference number (03823850) for the complaint. The Branch Manager contacted us and we provided the proof of the transactions to him (Hector) on the 6th of November 2013. There was some further communication but to date we was not refunded for the amount of R374.96.
Should we now go to the police and open a case of or against the Game, Secunda branch or go to the newspapers because it seems someone is steeling our money and there is no intension to refund us.
The refund must be in wife's account in 7 calendar days or we will take this case to the police.
