Account unfairly closed down by the store

I'v been an accout holder with Woolies for couple years with good standing. I only learned with dismay that my accout have been closed down without me been informed. What is even crazy is that, early last month, I had applied for a new card after mine got damaged and was recently re-issued despite my account being"closed down". I was only informed by a certain"Abongiwe" @ their when I was trying to do some purchasing that my account has been closed after it hasnt been active for a year, yet my last payment was on the 30/11/2012. Nobody from their side ever informed, and worse stil, I was issued with new card without anyone picking up that my account had been closed down. On the day I managed to speak to Abongiwe @ in store and she simply was not interested, all she said was that she is sorry but will have to reapply from scratch... I believe I'm unfairly being treated by Woolworths store and would be happy if my account can be reinstated fully with my credit balance.
