False advertising

I am bringing this up as it has happened on numerous occasions. Dettol handwash 250mL refill 200mL was advertised at R34.95 if you bought both. I bought 3 sets. When they were scanned, the discount did not go through. I pointed this out to the cashier, but she told me I would have to pay, so she could check it on the slip. I told her that I would expect a refund onto my credit card if it was wrong. She said this could be done. I paid; slip was printed and, of course, price was wrong. Manager then told them to refund the products and give me a voucher. I told him this was unacceptable as I didn't want a voucher. Eventually, after waiting another 15mins (time which I did not have), they managed to print me a voucher for the amount I had overpaid, then converted it to cash. To top off this unpleasant ordeal, they gave me back R44.80, instead of the R44.85 that they owed me. Even if it's only 5c, the principle of the matter stands. Products are never as advertised and it is a big mission to get refunded/corrected. I'll have to stop endorsing Dis-chem to all my friends as I often leave feeling angry.
