My son is in the middle of a divorce. Unexpectedly he received an account in the post last Thursday for items purchased which he had no knowledge of. On confronting the branch it came out that his soon to be ex went and bought a laptop computer with a camera without his consent, stating that he would come the next to sign the contract. This happened on 19 September already. When the branch contacted her she refused to disclose the whereabouts of said equipment. His account was immediately stopped. I then contacted Lewis HQ in this regard as my son is underground at the mine all day, to which I was informed that I would contacted by today (13/11/2013). They kept their promise, but told me that the computer was located in Spings and will only be returned to the Brits branch by Friday (15/11/2013). I was also informed that his account status would also only reflect this on Friday. On enquiry of what about the camera I was told that they do not have any info on it.
I asked then what the steps are forward regarding the matter and was told that according to Lewis the matter is settled and that we could continue with legal action if so wished. It seems Lewis condones this.
