I bought a car brought by someone to a dealer through ABSA. I drove it one day and I noticed engen problems. BMW Ermelo told me its an accident damaged car. I called the dealer they could not help. I went to the bank (ermelo branch) they gave me ABSA Vehicle finance contacts who promised to come let me sign cancellation documents. They did not until the came on the 6th month. Within the six month I tried everything to get rid of the car. Called the ombudsman of the motor industry but did not help until now. frustrated buying a car which did not last a week. Dealer I purchase the car from said there is nothing they can do
Since the car was brought by a private seller. I contacted that private seller. He say yes the car was involved in an accident it was closed temporally. But now He can't help me cause I signed those documents, the bank will ask the car from me even If I can take the car to HIm or to the dealer. I ended up leaving the car where I did the quotation since then till now. I still have to pay that scarab which I never drove. The corrupts won. Bank financed accident damaged car they could not take back. Even the Ombuds can't help. why injustice is not judged in RSA.
