I just received my statement from Foschini today reflecting UNAUTHORISED billing for R28, 30 for "account benefits" relating to "Lost card protection" and "account settlement and death cover". In the more than 15 years that I have had this account I have NEVER authorised or subscribed to this. It may appear to be a relatively small amount but I'm sure such sneaky charges must accumulatively be quite substantial if applied to the numerous Foschini account holders. This practice is despicable and completely lacking in honesty.
