BAD SERVICE WITH ACCOUNT

I bought a shirt for R59, 00 from Foschini with the idea of settling it at the end of that month. To my surprise an amount of R27, 00 was added for Insurance (almost half the price of the shirt.) I tried to query and then another amount was added for lost card protection. I paid the price of the shirt immediately. I have been harassed by phonecalls from them asking for payment of my account and I wanted to know whether I signed for this as my account has been with them for about 30 years? I spoke to several supervisors and everyone promised to get back to me. No one did. They just kept on threatening to blacklist me. I finally went into Foschini Somerset West today and asked that they phone customer service for me. After the conversation, I was given another number to phone. That is when I flipped, paid the outstanding amount which now climbed to R75 in the months that I was seeking an answer, and closed my account. Really sad that no one could show me where I applied for account benefits and no one that could explain to me why I paid R27, 00 life insurance on an amount of R59, 00 and losing an account after all these years for so little money.
