Refund for incorrect scanning met with bad attitud

I shop at Pick 'n Pay Constantia every Tuesday morning. Last Tuesday (8 Oct. 2013) I purchased some meat which was marked down due to short expiry date on package. On arriving home I found that I had been charged the original much higher price. I immediately phoned the manager, explaining that I had been overcharged. I offered to return immediately to the shop, but he assured me that it could wait until my next visit to the branch, when the cashiers error could be sorted out. When I called today with the meat labels and pointed out the error to Anastasia at the refunds counter, her attitude was that it should have been pointed out at the time of purchase when the wrong code was entered. After I insisted that the manager was agreeable for me to return today for a refund in terms of Pick 'n Pay policy, she reluctantly refunded me, but with a real bad attitude. As a loyal long time customer, that was upsetting.
