CHRONIC MEDICATION "OUT OF STOCK" FOR 2 WEEKS

On 28.09.2013 I went to Clicks Pharmacy N1 City Goodwood with my own and my husband's new chronic scripts. Nothing had changed on the scripts but was merely the 6-monthly renewal. When checking the medication before leaving, all the items requested was not available and I was told that they would call me when I could come to collect. During the following week I received an SMS and on 06.10.2013 went to fetch the outstanding medication. To my utter shock all the medication was still not available. To date, 14.10.2013 i have not received feedback from Clicks despite asking that the Pharmacy Manager phone me as this was not the first time this happened. Chronic medication is chronic for a reason. Do they not understand the seriousness of not getting medication that is needed on a daily basis. The staff wasvery unhelpful and shrugged their shoulders because the medication was out of stock with suppliers. How on earth can that be. We are 'forced' by our medical aid to make use of Clicks Pharmacy but will now rather pay a levy at another pharmacy where I can get the medication my husband and I require when I require it. Meantime, they've claimed from my medical aid and was paid.
