On purchasing a dinning room table I informed the shop assistant that I would return later with my brother & his bakkie to collect my purchase, on my return I was notified by the owner that the said item had been RESOLD & was given a refund, they had seemingly tried to contact me I assume to notify me but on looking at their records they had the incorrect contact number therefore could not reach me & went ahead with the resale!
Seemingly Pick & Pay are unhappy with the goods being displayed in the walkways & are insisting that the goods be removed as soon as sold, which I find unacceptable as we are not all fortunate enough to own a bakkie, surely we should be given time to arrange for the pick up & discretion should be taken by the owner to allow time for the collection, certainly one does not RE SELL simply because a few hours has passed. In my opinion the goods displayed in the walkway detracts from what Pick & Pay are trying to achieve by spending millions on revamping the center and if this results in unhappy consumers I would recommend that NO items be displayed in the walkways.
I will no longer be purchasing from Cash Converters.
