I have a waking disability. I decided to buy myself a bike as this will minimise the strain on walking to work 10km each day. I bought a bike on 01 Sep at Makro Cape Gate; the salesman told me that if I have any problems with the bike, I can come in any time. On the first weekend of having the bike I experienced a number of problems such as, my gears are slipping, there's play on the handlebar and it felt like the front wheel was going loose. I made as was advised to me and I took the bike in. The guy on the floor had a look at my bike and told me that my front wheel was so loose that the wheel could of fell of at any stage. The guy at the bikes looked tightened what needed to be tightened, but I went back every Saturday in September as well as a Sunday to have the same problems looked at. I am at the stage of giving up, I don't want the bike anymore as it is always the same problems. Makro is going against their customer policy! i also have pictures of the same bikes standing in their returns area with the same problems.
